About the role
Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation Edmonton, AB Pinchin’s Edmonton office has an immediate opening for Project Coordinator within the Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation (EDR) group.
The ideal candidate will be reporting to the Operations Manager and familiar with relevant AB regulations and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.
What You Will Be Doing At Pinchin
- Contaminated site inspections, report writing as well as other remediation activities
- Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), Phase II ESA, Phase III otherwise known as remediation including soil, groundwater and vapour sampling
- Conduct historical and regulatory research
- Prepare, review and edit technical reports
- Liaise with subcontractors
- Assist with managing smaller projects on behalf of Project Managers
- Liaise with clients, financial institutions and other potentially involved stakeholders, including regulatory body representatives
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships
- Conduct field work including supervising and directing contractors
What You Bring To The Pinchin Team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering and/or Diploma in Environmental Science
- A minimum of 5 years’ related experience
- Working toward professional designation (P. Eng., P. Geo., R.P. Bio., P.Ag.)
- Valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle is required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)
- Excellent writing, editing, technical and organizational skills along with the ability to problem solve
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client relations
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Availability to travel for work within Alberta. Occasional travel within other areas of Western Canada may be required
- Availability to work outside of core business hours and in high and low temperatures conditions with vibrations and noise.
- Must be able to wear all relevant personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, above ankle steel toed boots, coveralls, safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection as required.
