Location: Whadjuk Boodjar – Bennett Springs - North Metro WA
Hourly rate starting: $34.78 (plus Super plus NFP Salary Packaging)
Hey you! genU is looking for Overnight Sleep - Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.
The Employer considers that being male is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 27 (2), (c), (e) and (g) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984. These are overnight sleep rosters of 3 shifts per fortnight starting @ 25.75 hrs. Please review the rosters included to ensure you can work the shifts and sleep overnight, before applying.
Proposed Roster - OSW - 25.75 hrs
Proposed Roster - OSW + 1 day - 31.25 hrs
What You’ll Do
- Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them;
- Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;
- Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
- Administration duties and mandatory reporting
What You’ll Bring
- Extensive experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans;
- Extensive experience working with challenging behaviours- essential;
- Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration;
- Significant personal care and domestic duties experience;
- Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;
- Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one) is essential;
- A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
