Manager, Learning Management System (LMS), Policies & Student Resources, Temporary Full-Time

Professional Practice, Welland Site

Hours of work: 75 hours per pay period

Position Objective

Reporting to the Director, Interprofessional Practice, Ethics & Education, the successful candidate provides leadership and support in the administration and maintenance of the Learning Management and Policies and Procedures systems as well as Student Resources department within Niagara Health. The successful candidate will have experience as a collaborative leader who has experience with the management of an LMS and Policies system across a large multi-site hospital system or similar organization. The role will develop and maintain learning content using content creation tools, along with the infrastructure that will support, guide and assist course developers and subject maters experts to acquire product familiarity and the ability to create a variety of e-Learning materials using best-practices within the LMS and Policy & Procedure management systems. Responsibilities will also include leading the Student Resources department including oversight related to administration of student placements and liaising with academic partners to successfully support integration within Niagara Health. Additional responsibilities include administration regarding Library services; monitoring program activities; and making recommendations to support ongoing quality learning and policy development; establishing and fostering linkages with academic partners; development and support of program specific change management initiatives; establishing strong hospital/community linkages and opportunities for partnership; developing program goals and objectives; prioritizing content requests, and assuming the lead role on special projects and new initiatives as required. This position will be located primarily at the Welland Site however travel will be required to other sites as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in instructional Technology, Learning Technologies or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in a health care setting
  • Demonstrated experience in budget development, fiscal planning, and financial management, with a proven ability to monitor and control expenditures in line with organizational goals and priorities
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, cost analysis, and variance analysis, with the ability to make data-driven decisions to ensure budget adherence and optimize resource allocation
  • Experienced people manager with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and support diverse teams to achieve high performance and foster professional growth
  • Experience in developing and maintaining strong academic partnerships, including collaboration with universities, colleges, to advance organizational goals
  • Knowledge of theories, principles, methods and techniques relevant in the field of instructional technologies and the ability to translate the knowledge into engaging deliverables with a focus on e-learning
  • Two to four years' experience in instructional design development of interactive, blended learning programs using multi-channel content creation, and delivery methodology
  • Advanced knowledge in managing all functionality of a learning management system in conjunction with SCORM, AICC and CM15 standards
  • Advanced ability using Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Advanced ability to maneuver SharePoint sites and SharePoint workflows
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent ability to develop content into engaging and accessible training and learning solutions
  • Excellent ability to prepare and deliver presentation on digital media and multi-media related topics
  • Excellent organizational, project management and coordination skills
  • Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
