About the role
Are you passionate about customer service and looking to build a career in the automotive industry? Progressive Auto Group is currently seeking a Service Assistant to be deployed to one of our dealership's Service Department.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow into a Service Advisor role. You’ll be part of a dynamic, customer-focused team and gain hands-on experience in dealership service operations.
What You’ll Do
Customer Support
- Greet service customers warmly and professionally.
- Collect vehicle concerns and ensure accurate intake information is gathered and documented.
Scheduling & Coordination
- Assist with booking service appointments and updating customers on repair timelines.
- Coordinate with technicians and help manage workflow in the shop.
Communication
- Keep customers informed on their vehicle’s status and clearly explain next steps.
- Maintain smooth communication between the service team and customers throughout the repair process.
Administrative Support
- Create and update repair orders, warranty paperwork, and other service documents.
- Enter data into dealership software and maintain organized records.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with technicians and the Service Manager to support daily service operations.
- Help create a seamless and positive customer experience from drop-off to pick-up.
Career Development
- Receive mentorship and on-the-job training with the goal of advancing into a Service Advisor position.
- Learn dealership systems, warranty procedures, and the fundamentals of service workflow.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or a dealership environment is an asset.
- Strong interest in vehicles and willingness to learn about automotive service operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient using computers; experience with dealership software (PBS) is a plus.
- Ability to move throughout the dealership and service bays; light lifting and extended standing may be required.

Compensation & Schedule
- Wage: $18–$20 per hour, based on experience
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
