YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
You will be reporting to Assay Supervisor, and you will be part of the Mill Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Competency in Basic Mill Common Core & Alignment to Mill
- Classification Guideline (AEM Mill Operations Training Classification
Guideline) - Maintain records of the receipt and analysis of the samples, standards and
reference material. - Weigh, measure, record and mix samples.
- Organize workspace to process samples from the mine following a chain
of custody procedure. - Crush and pulverize ore samples to the consistency required (-10 mesh).
- This is our Standard Operating Procedure.
- Perform routine inspections on machines and equipment to determine if
any maintenance is required - Responsible Quality Assurance (QA)
- Keep work areas clean to maintain a safe and clean working environment
(Housekeeping) - Prioritize work and follow Standard Operating Procedures and working
safely
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Good oral and written communication skills
- An eye for detail and accuracy
- Capacity to learn
- Should have 2 years of experience to be considered competent
- Training on the job is provided but requires steady commitment
- Aptitude for prioritization of repetitive tasks (efficiency)
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 7 days of work, followed by 7 days off, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
