About the Opportunity
Precision Auto Service Ltd. is looking for a full-time Automotive Technician based in Langley, BC .
Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure safe, reliable transportation for our customers.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for delivering high-quality automotive service and repairs while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on gas, diesel, and hybrid vehicles
- Diagnosing complex issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
- Reading and interpreting schematics, technical manuals, and repair documents
- Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assisting in training and mentoring junior technicians
- Working on fleet vehicles as part of a rotation
- Upholding company standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
About You
To qualify, you will need to be a fully certified Red Seal Automotive Technician or a strong 4th-year apprentice with proven gas, diesel, and hybrid repair experience, with hands-on experience with advanced diagnostics and repair across multiple vehicle types. A valid driver's licence will also be required.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Experience with European vehicles, including diesel and gas drivability diagnostics
- Background in electric vehicle major component repairs
- Knowledge of ADAS calibration, programming, and advanced diagnostics
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection certification
- Proficiency with OEM and aftermarket diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documents
- Familiarity with fleet service as part of a rotation
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
