About the role
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC/R Technician, apprentice or red seal, to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will posses strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and related maintenance tasks. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety across commercial and industrial settings. A background in plumbing, welding, boiler systems, appliance repair, or construction is highly advantageous but not a requirement. The technician will work closely with other maintenance professionals to troubleshoot complex systems using schematics and technical manuals, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and ventilation systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals; identify root causes of system failures.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, compressors, valves, and thermostats.
- Assist with system upgrades or new installations in construction or renovation projects.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work performed.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents or hazards during maintenance activities.
Experience
- Proven experience working with HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, or mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and technical diagrams essential for troubleshooting complex systems.
