Description:
Banff Sunshine Village is a world-class ski and snowboard resort in Banff, Alberta, famed for Canada’s Best Snow. The Website Project Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating the redevelopment and launch of Banff Sunshine Village’s new skibanff.com. This role will work with the Marketing, Communications & Events Supervisor to assist as the liaison between internal teams and third-party contractors, developers, and service providers to ensure the new website is successfully delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with Sunshine’s brand and guest experience goals.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing multiple stakeholders. This role will oversee project communications, present reviews for approvals, and content readiness while supporting the technical and creative workflows required for a smooth launch.
Job Functions:
- Serve as the main point of contact between Banff Sunshine Village and third-party contractors, developers, and service providers.
- Coordinate internal approvals, track project timelines, and ensure deliverables are met at each milestone.
- Collaborate with other departments and external teams to provide content, images, and assets for the new site.
- Support content development and entry, ensuring all website copy and media align with brand voice, accessibility standards, and SEO best practices.
- Review wireframes, prototypes, and staging sites to ensure alignment with project goals and user experience expectations.
- Assist with CMS training, documentation, and content workflows to equip the internal team post-launch.
- Manage quality assurance and user testing, coordinating internal feedback and reporting issues through to resolution.
- Track website analytics setup and reporting to ensure measurable KPIs (traffic, engagement, conversions) are established at launch.
- Prepare and deliver project updates to leadership and stakeholders on progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist in the development of ongoing website support and service agreements post-launch.
- Act as an ambassador and mediator across departments, ensuring the new website reflects Sunshine Village’s commitment to guest service, inclusivity, and accessibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements
- Outgoing, energetic, social and creative personality.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in project coordination, website management, or digital marketing.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex projects and multiple deadlines.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress and/or Drupal experience preferred).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), UX/UI design principles, and SEO best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with third-party developers, agencies, or contractors.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Prepared to work flexible schedules as needed during project milestones, launches, and events.
- Must be able to travel periodically to Banff Sunshine Village for meetings, content collection, or training sessions.
- Ability to work individually (self-starter) and as part of a team. Coachability and willingness to take direction are essential.
Additional Considerations
- Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
- This position works primarily in an office environment but may require visits to the resort for content gathering or project meetings.
- Travel between the Calgary Sales Office and Banff Sunshine Village is required.
This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook, Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
