As Sr. Systems Developer, you will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative digital platforms and services that enable data differentiated and hyper-personalized insurance propositions within ecosystem partners' experiences. You will work with an agile, energetic, and ambitious digital platform engineering team to engineer innovation at scale through digital, analytics, automation, and contribute to a wide variety of next-gen integrated propositions.

###How you will create impact:

  • You will participate in the creation and execution of unique digital platforms and services. These will provide personalized insurance propositions within the experiences of our ecosystem partners
  • Plan, document, and determine technologies and options for a working solution of large to extra-large complexit
  • Develop frameworks and technical components that are reusable, to facilitate future development efforts
  • Working within a scrum team and contributing to all software development activities across the entire life cycle of the product including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Partner with design, product, and backend teams to build end-to-end functionality
  • Validate operational feasibility through analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Adhere to the software development lifecycle.
  • Document and showcase solutions by creating documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and clear code comments.
  • Advocate for and promote best practices to ensure high-quality and consistent outcomes in all projects.

###To join our team

  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline

  • 5 or more years’ experience in Object Oriented Programming language

  • P&C Insurance industry experienc

  • Experience in integrating multiple systems and developing complex microservice

  • High level understanding of how No-code systems work

  • Nice have experience working with these systems - Unqork, Okta, Salesforce, Guidewire, SendGrid, Workato, GLIA, MongoDB, SQL Serve

  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, or cloud infrastructure.

  • Experience with REST and/or GraphQL

Salary information

Expected salary range $72,847 to $121,411

Salary placement

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Incentive/Variable pay

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
