About the role

Position: Life Navigation Program Coordinator (full-time, permanent)

Location: Newton and the community

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: $27.81 per hour

Start Date: September 29, 2025

We are looking for a Life Navigation Program Coordinator to join our Sources Community Living Services team ! This individual must stand out as a natural leader, be passionate about working with people, and want to foster and develop their leadership skills.

Description Of Position Sources Community Living provides all-encompassing care for individuals who have been referred to us by Community Living British Columbia. We are currently recruiting for a Life Navigation Program Coordinator to work with the Life Skills Inclusion Team. You will be responsible for participating with the leadership team to organize and facilitate individual and group programming, specifically the LNAV, Social Group, and Skill Builders Programs. These programs support individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health-related needs. Our mission is to enable the pursuit of the best quality of life possible for our clients. We do this by fostering independence, well-being, and social participation.

Reporting to: Life Skills Assistant Managers

General Responsibilities

  • Build relationships
  • Coach and guide
  • Aid and support
  • Work as a collaborative team

Program-specific Responsibilities

  • Keep notes and review progress
  • Plan and implement group and individual programming
  • Maintain a safe work environment for both staff and service users alike, including following and monitoring all positive behavior support strategies as they apply to clients in service. This includes being confident and familiar with Non-Violent Crisis Intervention material.

Qualifications

  • Have a valid class 5 driver’s license - Mandatory
  • Have a clear driver’s abstract - Mandatory
  • Have a safe personal car to use for business purposes - Mandatory
  • Possess strong leadership qualities and organizational skills
  • Have clear communication skills
  • Take initiative and work with integrity
  • Showcase sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • You have the physical ability to engage in a variety of home and community-based activities
  • You are knowledgeable or have experience in areas of mental health and intellectual disabilities
