Job Description

The Lead Sessional Instructional Assistant (LSIA) will assist the course instructor in the delivery of HIS280Y1Y - History of China. The LSIA will be responsible for leading discussion sections, grading assignments, and providing feedback to students.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead discussion sections and facilitate student engagement.
  • Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Assist in the preparation of course materials.
  • Hold office hours to support students.

Required Qualifications

  • A graduate degree in History or a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience at the university level.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the subject matter of the course.
  • Experience with online teaching platforms.

Other Relevant Details

  • This position is part-time and will require approximately 10 hours per week.
