Financial Analyst, Canadian Me dia
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Canadian Media business. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in monthly, quarterly, and year end activities for the Canadian Media business within corporate finance, headquartered in Toronto, and for analytical, administrative and business tasks as needed.
This role will report to the Finance Manager, Canadian Media and is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.
Core Responsibilities & D uties
- Maintain weekly and monthly revenue reports and distribute them to internal stakeholders
- Assist in revenue analysis and reconciliation with our Broadcast, Consumer Shows and Digital teams
- Perform month end reviews and variance analysis on cost reports and operating expenses to ensure accuracy and adherence to budget
- Prepare and distribute monthly P&L reports and meet with business leaders to review
- Assist in developing and maintaining team specific budgeting and forecasting to ensure high visibility and ownership of results.
- Work closely with the content programming team to manage cash flow and reporting
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- 1-3 years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work effectively both independently and on a team and has experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using NetSuite and/or Salesforce would be an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e., pivot tables, vlookups, sumif, etc.)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
