About The Role
Join a high-impact team supporting IT professionals who develop business and mission capable systems for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). As a member of the In-Service Support Team (ISS), within the Information and Communication Systems (ICS) Section, you will support, troubleshoot, deploy, and improve a diverse ecosystem of technologies that enable business, operational and mission-critical capabilities across the RCN.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you will provide IT support and independent verification and validation services on behalf Department of National Defence (DND) clients. This role combines advanced technical troubleshooting with stakeholder coordination and customer engagement. This position is ideal for a resourceful, hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving complex problems in a variety of environments and who is inspired to make a meaningful impact for Canada’s Navy.

Must-haves
Experience providing Level 3 support within complex enterprise IT environments, including incident management, advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and coordination with multiple technical and operational stakeholders. Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft products and Linux distributions, with experience supporting server, workstation, and infrastructure environments in business, mission, or operational settings. Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, including hypervisors/virtual workloads, networking equipment, storage devices, system performance monitoring, maintenance activities, across interconnected environments. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems across multiple technology domains, leveraging critical thinking, analytical skills, strong written communication skills, and collaboration with subject matter experts to resolve & identify the issues.
Mandatory Requirement
Canadian citizenship, with 10 or more years residing in Canada with no periods longer than six continuous months out of country, is absolutely necessary as part of the requirements to obtain a government security clearance to the minimum level of Secret
