Job Description
You are at the heart of the hotel! As a House Person, you will look after our guest requests, room attendant team and public areas, ensuring that our guests are provided with a clean, comfortable space, and be a part of creating a memorable experience for them.
What you will be doing:
- Clean public areas and heart of house area to standard; including dusting, vacuuming, mopping,
bathroom cleaning, restocking amenities, etc. - Attend to all guest and room attendant requests
- Remove soiled linen from guest rooms
- Ensure proper usage of all cleaning products and wear all required personal protective equipment
- Take initiative to add a personalized experience for the guest
- Take ownership of guests’ privacy and belongings, while ensuring exceptional service
- Responsible for restocking housekeeping closet / service areas daily
- Report any maintenance concerns promptly
- Follow all hotel and departmental policies and procedures, as well as health & safety protocols
Physical Job Requirements:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional ascending or descending steps, stairs and ramps
- Physically capable of performing duties which involve repetitive bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting of heavy objects
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written & verbal
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
- Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision
