About the role
As a Casual Trainer, You Will
- Deliver engaging and informative training sessions focused on suicide prevention, mental health awareness, and wellbeing in older adults.
- Facilitate workshops, webinars, and community education tailored to aged care staff, volunteers, and service providers.
- Collaborate with the Suicide Prevention for Seniors team to ensure training is evidence-based, culturally appropriate, and aligned with Anglicare’s mission.
- Support the development and refinement of training materials and evaluation tools.
- One trainer will be engaged to deliver online workshops, while a second trainer will provide in-person sessions across various Sydney locations, offering training in residential aged care, home care, and community-based settings.
About You You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in training, facilitation, or adult education.
- Qualifications or strong background in mental health, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Understanding of suicide prevention principles and the unique needs of older people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to compassionate service delivery.
- A current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Experience working in aged care, community services, or health promotion.
- Familiarity with the My Aged Care system and referral pathways.
