About the role

The Municipal Group of Companies’ Equipment and Maintenance Team oversees the maintenance, compliance, and operational integrity of one of Eastern Canada’s most diverse equipment fleets. Through a network of more than 25 maintenance shops, our teams deliver standardized service processes, asset management support, and technical expertise across all operating divisions. Our work is executed by qualified trades professionals and supported by formalized training, certification, and career development systems. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Foreman, based out of Saint John, NB, to join our team.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Supervises, coaches, and supports shop employees to ensure high-quality workmanship, productivity, and efficient repair and service operations. Plans, assigns, and coordinates daily work activities. Ensures employees perform their work safely and in compliance with Municipal Group of Companies policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Provides technical guidance and hands-on support to shop employees in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment. Enforces company policies and procedures and recommends operational improvements. Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and productive shop environment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills And Experience

Certified Technician. Red Seal certification or equivalent experience is considered an asset. Must be experienced with computerized diagnostics. Strong organizational, leadership, and planning skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors. Working safely is a condition of employment.
