The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking three (3) casual Dietary Attendants to work in the Nutritional Services department. Reporting to the Manager and under the direction of the Supervisor of Nutritional Services, the incumbent will be responsible for portioning food items and assembly of food trays, preparing basic food items, delivering and serving food to clients, performing dishwashing functions, cleaning Nutritional Services area and equipment, and participating in the department food safety and QA programs as required. These positions include prolonged periods of walking, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable standards and requirements. The service operates from 7:00 a.m. to 19:30 p.m. and these positions involve shift rotation and weekend work, located at the Queen Street Site.

Job Requirements The successful candidates will possess a Grade 10 education and a current Food Handler’s Certificate. Experience in a healthcare or commercial food service facility is preferred. A Grade 12 education with a Food Service Worker Certificate is considered an asset. Knowledge of and the ability to follow the Safety protocols, policies and procedures of the department is required. You must have the ability to follow detailed written & oral instructions and must be able to cope with the physical demands of the job. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills. Computer skill in the use of Windows-based applications is an asset. The ability to work both independently and as a team member with limited direct supervision is required. Ability to work with diverse clients and staff is required. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
