SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Reporting to the Superintendent, Waterfront Operations, the Ticket Office Attendant will assist customers with purchasing tickets to various events and attractions offered by the City at the waterfront.
GENERAL DUTIES
Greet customers and assist them with purchasing tickets to various events and attractions.
Process ticket sales accurately and efficiently using a computerized ticketing system.
Answer phone calls to respond to potential inquiries related to pricing, hours of operation, offerings etc.
Assist customers with special requests, such as group reservations, accessible seating arrangements, or ticket exchanges/refunds.
Handle card payments securely and accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized ticket office, including counters, displays and ticketing equipment.
Collaborate with other staff to address customer needs and resolve any issues or complaints.
Stay informed about upcoming events, promotion, and venue policies to provide accurate up to-date information to customers.
Work in accordance with the provisions of applicable Health and Safety legislation and all City of Hamilton corporate and departmental policies and procedures related to Occupational Health and Safety.
Perform other duties as assigned which are directly related to major responsibilities of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in customer service, retail, or ticketing operations preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.

Comfortable using computerized ticketing systems and other office equipment.
-
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
-
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and processing information.
-
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
-
Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

Possess and maintain current certification in “Standard” First Aid with CPR Level “C” or be able to obtain within 60 days of employment. (This must be clearly identified on your resume.) All “Standard” First Aid certificates must be issued by a training agency recognized by the Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB). Please refer to the WSIB website www.wsib.on.ca for approved providers. At time of assessment (which could be as early as days after the posting closes), you will be asked to provide “proof” that you possess the required certificate(s).
**HOURS:**0 - 24 per week
**NOTE:**As a condition of employment, the successful applicant(s) will be required to obtain a satisfactory Criminal Records Check (CRC) at their own expense, prior to beginning work in this location.
