Role scope
To ensure that detailed quality related activities are undertaken on the project, assuring that the product offered by the relevant project resources complies with the contractual requirements of the client and that the company IMS are fully implemented.
Details / responsibilities
- Ensure that all necessary actions as identified in the approved Project Quality Plan (PQP) are being adhered to
- Ensure that the Engineering deliverables are of the quality being offered for inspection meets with the clients requirements
- Ensure that all deviations from the Project Quality Plan and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS) are documented, recorded and closed out or any agreed action has been carried out
- Ensure that surveillance inspections are periodically carried out on the project recording and documenting any and all deviations from the Project Quality Plan and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Provide support and advice to the Project QA/QC Checker(s) personnel in relation to Project Quality Plan and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Maintain a good working relationship with all Kent and Client personnel
- Retain and maintain the required documentation for all necessary QA/QC activities. Eg. Audit/Surveillance report and findings
- Attend and participate in all required client and company meetings
- Ensure that all project audits are carried out in accordance with the project Audit Schedule and the schedule is up to date
- Follow up on all audit findings ensuring that action is taken and reoccurrence is minimised
- Assist in obtaining approval on the project IMS Program, and incorporate comments as necessary
- Continually review the project IMS Program to ensure that all necessary amendments are carried out and the document is up to date
- Prepare the necessary weekly and monthly reports – as/when required
- Review QA/QC Checker performance and report findings to Project Manager, where necessary initiate training to augment their skills
- Ensure that follow up is carried out on all open issues pertaining to the IMS and report any open issues to the Project Manager
- Ensure all quality records are maintained, up-to date, traceable and retrievable
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Possess a relevant degree and/or have held a position in the quality inspection and/or quality supervision role previously
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the oil and gas or similar process led industry
- Shall be fully conversant with applicable industry standards and specifications
- Computer literate, familiar with proprietary administration software
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to motivate team members and self-manage
- Able to oversee the delivery of quality engineering deliverables
- Good written and verbal communication
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients
