Job Summary:
Maintain physical plant and equipment to ensure 100% production up-time
Knowledge and Skills (Education):
-
COQ Industrial Millwright with 5 years of experience
-
High degree of mechanical aptitude and complete understanding of Mechanical and Electrical procedures
-
Knowledge of machine rigging procedures
-
Knowledge of machining and welding
-
Ability to read drawings, blueprints, specifications and manuals
-
Ability to incorporate technical reports
-
Good communicator in the English language (written and oral) Experience with repairing large tonnage presses - strong asset but not mandatory
Major Accountabilities:
- Millwright will maintain Preventative Maintenance schedule
- Perform full diagnostics on equipment and advise Maintenance Supervisor and/or Purchasing Manager of parts required to perform necessary Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting and electrical repairs
- Physically maintain machines and equipment
- Millwright must ensure all paperwork and logs are completed prior to shift end
- Millwright must follow Machine Safety Guidelines, ensure proper lock out/tag out procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain proper Company housekeeping standards
- Millwright is responsible to maintain Company tools as required to fulfill duties
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Managers
- Millwright will support weekly production requirements
- Participate in any continuous improvement activities
- Millwright will assist in monitoring downtime/uptime and abide within the Department/Company goals
- Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety , Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook
Licence:
- Millwright (Required)
Work Environment:
- Working in a plant environment
- Multiple demands, challenging, fast paced, team orientated environment, can be noisy
- 100% plant floor (PPE required)
Health and Safety:
- Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
- Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
- Complete understanding and knowledge of lock out, fall protection and confined spaces procedures
