About the role

Brand Momentum – Vice President Finance

Do you want your next role to provide a significant opportunity to build a lasting legacy, not just maintain someone else’s creation? Are you motivated by transforming finance from a reporting function into a strategic growth engine? Can you turn complex data into clarity for a leadership team, Board and Private Equity owners?

GlassRatner is excited to be partnering with Brand Momentum at a pivotal stage in its evolution. Following its acquisition by CPS Capital Partners, the company is entering an exciting new chapter of growth, investment, and value creation. We are seeking a highly strategic and commercially minded Vice President, Finance to join the Executive Leadership Team and help shape the future of one of Canada's leading sales, merchandising, experiential marketing, and retail workforce solutions organizations.

With a team more than 2,000 strong supporting some of the world's most recognized consumer brands across Canada, Brand Momentum has built its reputation on exceptional service, strong execution, and long-standing client relationships. As the business continues to scale, the organization is looking for a finance leader who can elevate finance from a traditional reporting function into a strategic driver of performance, profitability, and growth.

The Mandate

This is more than a finance leadership role – it is a build opportunity. The mandate for the incoming Vice President, Finance is to transform the finance function into a proactive business partner that drives strategic decision-making, operational excellence, and enterprise value creation.

Over the next 12–24 months, the successful candidate will

Establish a best-in-class planning, forecasting, and performance management framework Improve the speed and quality of financial reporting Build out meaningful FP&A capabilities Strengthen visibility into customer and service-line profitability Develop KPI dashboards that support operational decision-making Lead the implementation, integration, and optimization of a new ERP system, ensuring it delivers stronger integration, reporting, forecasting, and operational visibility

Leadership and Stewardship

This role calls for more than a finance executive – it calls for a business leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The right candidate is equally comfortable working through detailed financial information, coaching their team, collaborating with operational leaders, presenting to executives, and helping solve day-to-day business challenges.

They bring an ownership mindset, challenge conventional thinking, proactively identify opportunities for improvement, and are passionate about building a stronger, more profitable organization.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President, Finance will play a critical role in helping Brand Momentum improve operational performance, strengthen financial discipline, and achieve its long-term growth objectives.

Ideal Background

The ideal candidate will bring progressive finance leadership experience within a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial, or private-equity-backed environment. They may currently be a Vice President of Finance, Director of Finance, Head of FP&A, or senior finance leader seeking broader strategic influence and enterprise-wide responsibility. A CPA designation is required, and experience within service-based, labour-intensive, staffing, retail services, marketing, professional services, or related industries will be considered a strong asset. Direct experience leading or playing a significant role in ERP implementation, optimization, or transformation initiatives is highly desirable, particularly in organizations undergoing growth, operational scaling, or process modernization.

Beyond technical expertise, we are seeking a commercially minded business leader with an ownership mentality – someone who enjoys building capabilities, influencing outcomes, challenging the status quo, and creating measurable business impact.

Why This Role

This is a rare opportunity to join a respected Canadian market leader, partner closely with an accomplished executive leadership team and experienced private equity investors and play a central role in the company's next phase of growth. You will have the opportunity to influence strategic decisions at the highest levels of the organization, gain meaningful exposure to the Board and ownership group, and leave a lasting legacy by building a finance function designed to support long-term success.

If you are a commercially driven finance executive who thrives in growth environments and is excited by the opportunity to build, lead, and influence, we would welcome the opportunity to connect.
