EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR (PERMANENT FULL-TIME) @FAIRFIELD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 30.00 HOURS/WEEK - 10 MONTHS/YEAR EFFECTIVE DATE: IMMEDIATELY HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $28.26 to $33.80 PLUS A COMPETITIVE BENEFIT PACKAGE About The Limestone District School Board The Limestone District School Board (LDSB) is situated on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee. The LDSB is the region's only fully inclusive school board. Limestone schools serve more than 20,500 students in 55 schools and five alternative education centres covering a geographic area of 7,719 square kilometres across the City of Kingston, the Townships of Central Frontenac, North Frontenac, South Frontenac, Addington Highlands, Loyalist, Stone Mills, the Frontenac Islands and the Town of Greater Napanee.

Position Overview The Limestone District School Board is currently accepting applications for a permanent ECE position from individuals who are committed to working with students, providing academic, social, emotional and/or physical support, aimed at fostering success for all.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Two year Early Childhood Education diploma
  • Currently registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Full-Day Early Learning - Kindergarten Programand related legislation
  • Working knowledge of Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT) document
  • Proven ability in working as a member of a team
  • Proven commitment to confidentiality
  • Computer skills and strong organization, communication, and time management skills required
  • Recent experience with Kindergarten age children is preferred.

Limestone District School Board (LDSB, known as English-language Public District School Board No. 27 prior to 1999) is an English public district school board encompassing a region that includes the City of Kingston and the counties of Frontenac and Lennox and Addington in Eastern Ontario, Canada. The board was founded in a 1998 provincial reorganization of all Ontario school boards. It is an amalgamation of the former Frontenac County and Lennox and Addington County Boards of Education.
