Midland Colony School is located south

of the town of Taber (from Taber, 12 km south on highway 36, 17.5 km east on

highway 513 (also known as township road 8-4), 1 km north on range road 151).

Temporary

Colony Educational Assistant – approx. 26 hours/week

Hours

of work include

Monday – Thursday 8:50 a.m. – 3:25 p.m.

& Friday 8:50 a.m. – 11:55 a.m.

We

are seeking a temporary colony educational assistant to start as soon as

possible

and for the duration of the current school year. Our last day of school for this year is June

19, 2026.

The school day starts at 8:50 and ends at 3:25 on Monday

to Thursday. On Friday, the school day

ends at 11:55.

The position commences as soon as

possible

Ideally, candidates will:

  • be prepared to always demonstrate respect for Hutterite culture, traditions and beliefs.
  • have a positive attitude about children, learning and schools.
  • have a critical role in instruction, under the supervision of the teacher.
  • be able to work well independently, with the teacher, and with the school learning team.
  • provide support to students on a 1:1 basis or with small group instruction.
  • support English as an Additional Language Learners in language acquisition (early literacy and numeracy skills).
