Our Canadian based client, an industry leader in plumbing manufacturing, is seeking savvy and motivated CAM Machine Operators to join their fast paced facility. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining and troubleshooting a range of precision machinery to produce high-quality components . The ideal candidate is bringing proven mechanical aptitude along with a great attitude and work ethic. The Role
- Operate and maintain precision machinery to ensure consistent production quality and minimal downtime.
- Perform routine equipment checks and adjust machine settings to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to sustain optimal machine performance.
- Inspect finished components to confirm compliance with technical and quality specifications.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
- Conduct quality control tests to ensure components meet precision standards.
- Collaborate with fellow machinists to achieve daily and long-term production targets.
- Monitor machine operations to uphold productivity and streamline workflow processes.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues promptly, escalating unresolved problems to supervisors when required.
- Uphold company values through teamwork, integrity, and dedication to operational excellence.
- Support organizational goals by ensuring alignment with quality, safety, and productivity expectations.
The Ideal Candidate
- Exhibit expertise in machining operations, encompassing machine setup, operation, and regular maintenance of high-precision equipment.
- Skilled in conducting inspections and quality tests to ensure components meet stringent technical criteria and quality standards.
- Proficient in diagnosing and resolving machinery malfunctions swiftly to reduce downtime and uphold production efficiency.
- Capable of adjusting to evolving production requirements and managing several responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a proven track record of working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- CAM machines experience, multi -swindle screw machines experience.
- Ability to change CAMs, Gears and Tooling
- Ability to red Engineering drawing and tool layout sheet.
- Familiarity with Calipers, blade mic, depth mic, thread ring gauges, plug gauges, height gauge
- Understanding of form tools, drills, reamers and thread mills.
