Your Role
As a Heavy Equipment Technician – 2nd Year Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in keeping our customers' equipment running smoothly. Working out of our Kamloops, BC location, you’ll perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment.
- Complete preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized or other testing tools.
- Recommend repairs and suggest methods for improvement.
- Maintain clear documentation and service records.
- Stay current with changing technology and promote a culture of safety.
- Work in a range of environments, including confined spaces and variable weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs.
What You Bring
- Currently registered as a 2nd Year Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice.
- A strong commitment to safety in everything you do.
- Experience working within the heavy equipment industry
- Completion of the Heavy Mechanical Trades Foundation program is an asset.
- Effective communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Ability to travel and meet customer site access requirements.
- Experience with Komatsu equipment is an asset.
Pre-Employment Requirements
To gain access to the worksite, candidates may be required to complete:
- 5-year Commercial Drivers Abstract
- Drug and Alcohol check
- Medical Questionnaire
- Employment Verification
