We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead our Finance function and play a key role in shaping the financial foundation of the organization. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with executive leadership, this role blends strategic oversight with hands-on leadership in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

The Role

As the Director of Finance, you will provide financial leadership across the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clarity in reporting while supporting informed decision-making at the leadership level. You’ll oversee all core accounting functions, guide financial planning and forecasting, and develop a high-performing finance team that grows with the business.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

  • Provide leadership and oversight of all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, AP/AR, reconciliations, and internal controls
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting
  • Develop and manage divisional budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning
  • Deliver clear, actionable financial reporting and analysis to executive leadership
  • Act as the primary liaison for internal and external audits and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure compliance with ASPE/GAAP standards, tax requirements, and best-practice financial controls
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Support strategic initiatives by aligning financial operations with organizational goals and long-term growth plans

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation strongly preferred
  • 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior leadership or Controller-level responsibility
  • Proven experience in a multi-entity, high-growth, or entrepreneurial environment
  • Background in construction, manufacturing, or industrial services considered a strong asset
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit processes, and risk management
  • Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel
  • Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial leaders
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style
