About the role
Work location: Candidates must be based either in Wabush, NL or in Montreal, QC to hold the position of Logistic Cordinator.
Salary: According to experience while respecting the Company salary scale.
Status: Permanent – Full time
The Logistics Coordinator reports to the General Manager of Western Labrador Rail Services Inc. and Knob Lake & Timmins Railway. This role supports logistical and finance responsibilities through efficient coordination with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Key tasks include managing project invoicing, analyzing transportation and safety data, payroll entry, supporting safety and financial audits, and coordinating travel logistics. The role also contributes to safety reviews and fleet management support.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent will perform the following tasks:
- Lead project invoicing and support project cost tracking;
- Collect and analyze transportation circuit and safety data to implement improvements;
- Responsible in updating the Company’s tracking systems;
- Provide customer support and drive initiatives for improvement;
- Lead and/or participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, safety tracking;
- Promote safety in the field for all departments and on projects;
- Manage and execute employee travel requirements and scheduling in accordance with regulatory requirements;
- Support Safety Management System compliance and documentation for internal and external audits;
- Ensure engineering requirements are communicated and monitored;
- Support procurement and fleet management requirements;
- Create reports and build business cases from data analysis when required;
- Review, approve, and enter employee payroll;
- All other related tasks.
Position Requirements:

University degree (an asset) or relevant experience.

Bilingual - French & English, oral and written (asset)

Proficient in MS OFFICE (good knowledge of excel)

Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
