Your role As a Senior Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition in Montreal, you will play a key role in supporting the organization’s various business areas.

In this position, you will develop and implement effective talent attraction strategies to source, engage and hire a qualified, diverse workforce. You will strive to ensure an outstanding candidate and manager experience that reflects our corporate values at every touchpoint. As a primary brand ambassador for CBC/Radio-Canada, you will represent our identity to both internal and external talent markets.

This is a strategic, advisory role where you will partner closely with hiring managers through every stage of the recruitment cycle. By building trust and long-term relationships with your clients, you will gain a deep understanding of the unique needs and nuances of the multiple departments and specialized roles across the organization.

As a lead partner to management, you will collaborate with and provide direction to Talent Acquisition co-ordinators, overseeing recruitment workflows and ensuring that all needs previously discussed with hiring managers are met.

This is a hybrid position with a mix of remote and in-office work requiring two days (flexible) per week in the office. Work arrangements will be discussed with the hiring manager per departmental guidelines. Two permanent full-time positions are currently available, based in Montreal. Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and advise managers throughout the recruitment cycle (identifying needs, drafting job descriptions, selecting posting channels and testing methods, performing applicant screening, developing interview guides, participating in selection boards as needed, and extending offers to successful candidates).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for both managers and candidates, providing timely updates and ongoing support.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with collective agreements, corporate policies and relevant labour legislation/regulations.
  • Maintain a talent pipeline by actively sourcing qualified candidates through social media, internal databases, specialized groups, professional networks and targeted recruitment campaigns.
  • Develop and implement talent attraction strategies focused on building a qualified, diverse workforce.
  • Promote our employer brand and benefits to potential candidates.
  • Represent the organization and conduct networking at recruitment events (such as job fairs and trade shows).
  • Stay current with evolving industry practices.
  • Contribute to improving our recruitment processes.

What You Bring

  • Proven influential leadership abilities to guide processes, persuade others and negotiate hiring conditions with candidates.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English and French (bilingualism required).
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of varied, specialized recruitment assignments.
  • Proactive mindset when it comes to implementing creative sourcing and networking strategies/activities.
  • High degree of judgment, attention to detail and a strict commitment to confidentiality and procedural integrity.
  • Ability to operate in a complex, fast-moving and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with tools in the Google and Office suites.
  • Prior recruitment experience in the media, digital or technology sectors an asset.
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system (Workday an asset).
  • Experience in a unionized environment an asset.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations or a related field.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years’ relevant experience in full-cycle talent acquisition.
