  • Ensure compliance and mitigate risks, aligning with standards like NIST and ISO 27001 while strengthening data protection against threats such as ransomware.
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies, such as distributed storage systems and AI-driven backup analytics, to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Mentor Senior Storage Engineers and SMEs, promoting best practices in automation, governance, and implementation of storage and data protection solutions.

What you need to Succeed:

  • 8+ years in storage and data protection roles, with 4+ years focused on modernizing legacy systems in enterprise environments.

  • Expertise in legacy and modern technologies, including EMC Clariion, NetApp FAS, Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, NVMe arrays, and cloud-integrated backups.
  • Designed resilient architectures, featuring high-availability, disaster recovery, and ransomware-resilient data protection.
  • Strong knowledge of hybrid infrastructure, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and integration with containerized storage and modernization patterns.
  • Experienced in lifecycle management, assessing obsolescence risks and contributing to strategic modernization roadmaps.
  • Familiar with DevOps tools and compliance standards, including GDPR and HIPAA, for secure and automated storage environments.
  • Certifications such as VCP, NetApp Certified Data Administrator, or AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty are considered assets.
