Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
  • Monitor purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
  • Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update supplier records, including contracts, pricing agreements, and contact information.
  • Assist in vendor selection and evaluation processes by gathering and reviewing supplier information.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely receipt of goods and services
  • Prepare and distribute reports related to purchasing activities, including spend analysis and supplier performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchasing transactions and support auditing processes.
  • Assist with inventory management and ensure alignment with purchasing activities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Experience with procurement software or ERP systems is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of purchasing principles and best practices.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Wage and Benefits

Conuma Resources takes pride in providing industry-competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package that truly values our employees. Specifically for the Purchasing Administrator, we offer an annual base salary range of $60,000 - $74,000 along with a variety of bonuses, including a monthly efficiency bonuses based on safety and production targets, and quarterly retention bonuses. Our benefits package also includes paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental care, among other valuable perks!

  • Tumbler Ridge to our Quintette Mine, Wolverine Mine, Brule Mine, Willow Creek Mine, and Quintette Mine
  • Chetwynd to our Brule Mine and Willow Creek Mine
  • Dawson Creek to our Willow Creek Mine
  • Mackenzie to our Willow Creek Mine
