What’s the opportunity?
We’re two years into our digital transformation at RBC Insurance and the foundations are set. We’re ready to leverage our new technology, agile processes, and strong design team culture to push what it means to simplify insurance for all Canadians.
We’re hiring for a Product Designer, Growth to design impactful digital experiences that take clients from curiosity to customers. You’ll collaborate with growth marketers, digital product, conversion lead experts, technologists, and other designers to drive growth and client acquisition. This role will merge creativity with innovation to deliver on marketing campaigns, website experiences, and other digital or physical touch points. You will also inform how we approach experimentation to improve conversion as a practice and use product analytics to inform experience decisioning. This role requires a mix of strong visual design, user experience, and marketing acumen.
What you will work on
- Collaborate with growth on marketing campaigns, executing the creative vision from concept to launch via assets such as landing pages, email, social channels, digital publications, and other marketing material
- Craft experiments using prototypes (static, motion) with conversion experts to test and learn what moves the needle for clients and carry through learnings into production
- Design intuitive experiences for digital and physical channels, preparing and documenting assets so they’re implementation-ready for web, apps, and print
- Work with the CX & Insights team to identify research needs and apply qualitative and quantitative data to design decisions that will impact activation and conversion
- Tell stories through design – communicate complex ideas and brand narratives to stakeholders
What you need to succeed
Must haves
- 3-5 years of product design, visual design, or a similar role
- A portfolio illustrating your strategic thinking, experimentation experience, and design skills
- Strong aesthetic skills and a demonstrated understanding of core graphic design related to typography, grid systems, visual hierarchy, colour theory, photography, iconography etc.
- Strong systems-thinking and analytical skills with familiarity on test and learn approaches
- Basic understanding and/or experience with motion and animation
Nice to haves
- Undergraduate degree in Design (e.g. interaction design, visual communications, product) or a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience working within a highly regulated industry, with legal teams or subject matter with complex terms and requirements
- Illustration and/or 3D modeling skills
