Job Description About Us Initially established in 1987, OSCO Aggregates supplies construction aggregate products throughout Colchester County, Nova Scotia, the greater Moncton area of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. With two Nova Scotia locations in Glenholme and Canaan Mountain, OSCO Aggregates supplies crushed and natural construction aggregates for the concrete, asphalt, road-building and excavation industries. In addition, it manufactures specialty aggregates, such as pea stone for playgrounds, roofing ballast and red granite for use in exposed aggregate concrete.
OSCO Aggregates , a division of OSCO Construction Group, is currently seeking a qualified Loader Operator.
Responsibilities
- Perform plant maintenance on aggregate wash plant equipment
- General indoor and outdoor maintenance
- General cleaning and maintenance of the yard
- Conduct pre-operational checks on the loader
- Operate Front End Loader in a safe manner
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained at all times
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
- Must be familiar with and adhere to service requirements, equipment and operator limitations and safe operating procedures
- Front End Loader experience
- Physically able to lift heavy objects (50lbs or more), Standing for long periods of time and bending and stretching
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
