Position Overview

Green Thumb Landscaping, based in Burlington ON is looking for a driven, motivated, and reliable individual to join our team as a Ground Maintenance Crew Member. This year-round position as we are full-service Maintenance and Snow. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors through all four seasons — providing professional lawn care services during the spring, a transition to assisting the maintenance and enhancement crews in the summer and fall and working with the snow and ice management crews in the winter season.

The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, outdoor work in all weather (rain, sun, snow and ice) and takes pride in delivering quality results and thrives in a fast pace, multi-faceted and very busy environment.

Our yard is located at Guelph Line and Dundas in Burlington. We are close to bus transportation, the 407 Dundas cut off is 1 km. from our yard and we are approximately 3 km. north of the QEW. What You will do:

• • Work with a team of ground maintenance crew members in performing various tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.

  • Ensure that all work is completed according to company standards and safety guidelines.

  • Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and management to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Assist with other ground maintenance tasks as needed.

Requirements

• • 1-2 years relevant experience

  • Preference given to residential experience (High-End Residential is an asset)

  • Confident operation of Zero Turn Mowers, Push Mowers, Walk Behind, Backpack Blowers, Line Trimmers, and other tools of the trade!

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • A ‘G License’ with a clean abstract

  • Candidates must be physically able to work 10-hour days on their feet, using heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.
