About this role
Are you ready to make an impact in a dynamic and collaborative finance team?
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the North American Hydronics division of Carrier, with a primary focus on supporting U.S. Operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to Canadian operations and contribute to broader North American financial analysis. Reporting directly to the Manager of FP&A, the analyst will play a key role in driving meaningful business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a hybrid role in Waterloo ON.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize the revenue and profitability reporting in Power BI, providing in-depth, actionable analysis at the customer, product, and market segment levels to support strategic initiatives
- Planning and execution of the annual budget process including detailed cost centers' budgets and sales plans to support business plans
- Produce financial and budgetary reports, spreadsheets, and charts for analysis and interpretation
- Prepare P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reports
- Perform analysis on budgets and forecasts to determine and communicate actionable insights to a range of audiences and cross-functional teams
- Maintain and review inventory costing calculations, including setting intercompany transfer pricing for goods supplied to related parties
- Support the month-end closing process
- Ad-hoc projects and additional tasks as may be required during the course of the business year
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance)
- +1 years experience in financial modeling and data analysis tools
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA or CPA designation, or currently enrolled to complete
- Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tool
- Experience with SAP, and HFM/Hyperion Financial Management
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to concisely and effectively report on analysis both orally and in written format
- Analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Communication skills in English
- Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
