Full-time Education Assistant
About the role
Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Full-time (1.0 FTE) Education Assistant at Pat Hardy Elementary School, Whitecourt, Alberta.
Successful candidate responsibilities:
- Provide support to students in an inclusive setting
- Follow the direction of the classroom Teacher
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff
- Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
- Understand and carry out oral and written direction
- Work independently with minimal instruction
- Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
- Respect confidentiality
- Practice professionalism with all PHE School students, staff, administration, parents and public
- Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures
- Have experience working with young children
- Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process
- Have strong interpersonal skills and patience
- Enjoys working in a team environment
Start Date:
- August 27, 2025
Hours:
- 6 hours per day
