About The Job Louis Vuitton Canada is seeking an accomplished Manager, Payroll and Benefits to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be entrusted with ensuring the flawless, compliant, and timely delivery of payroll and benefits for our diverse workforce across multiple provinces in Canada. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping an exceptional employee experience and reinforcing our brand’s reputation for operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Director, Human Resources, you will act as a trusted advisor and partner, contributing to the strategic direction of our people operations.

Job responsibilities

Payroll Management

  • Oversee the payroll cycle for a multi-location, multi province organization, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for all employee groups, including hourly, salaried, full-time, part-time and seasonal team member
  • Act as the principal liaison with our external payroll provider, ensuring seamless data transmission, robust compliance, and the highest standards of integrity in every aspect of payroll delivery
  • Guarantee full compliance with all federal and provincial employment standards, CRA requirements, source deductions, remittances, and specific Quebec payroll requirements (RQ, CNESST, QPP, RL-1)
  • Manage complex pay structures, such as overtime, statutory holiday pay, vacation, commissions, and bonuses
  • Efficiently manage payroll calendars, execute reconciliations, and meticulously handle year-end activities, including the preparation of T4s, T4As, and RL-1s
  • Act as the escalation point for complex payroll issues and discrepancies, providing expert guidance and resolutions
  • Continuously maintain and enhance payroll controls, documentation, and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy

Benefits Management

  • Lead the management and administration of our group benefits programs, encompassing health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement savings plans (RRSP, DPSP) and employee assistance programs
  • Oversee employee enrollment, terminations, life events, and eligibility changes within the benefits programs
  • Liaise effectively with benefits providers, brokers, and third-party administrators to ensure seamless service delivery
  • With your analytical insight, inform benefits renewals and cost analyses, while ensure employees receive outstanding support and guidance
  • Ensure all benefits programs adhere strictly to provincial and federal legislation

Compensation Management & Projects

  • Lead all Louis Vuitton and LVMH global processes (annual compensation reviews, annual reports…)
  • Provide comprehensive support for both internal and external audits pertaining to payroll and benefits
  • Build thought-through compensation packages for all Manager roles and above, leveraging market compensation data and surveys
  • Lead Pay Equity and Pay Transparency projects across Canada

Leadership and collaboration

  • As a leader and mentor, you will foster the growth of the Human Resources Coordinator and inspire cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, and Retail teams to elevate the employee experience
  • Your commitment to continuous improvement will be reflected in your leadership of system enhancements, process innovation, and the adoption of forward-thinking practices aligned with Louis Vuitton’s vision for the future

Profile

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in payroll and benefits management, preferably within a retail or multi-site environment
  • Strong experience managing multi-provincial Canadian payroll, including Quebec-specific requirements. A CPM, PCP or equivalent designation awarded by the National Payroll Institute is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of employment standards legislation across Ontario (ON), Alberta (AB), British Columbia (BC), Quebec (QC), as well as CRA and Revenu Québec requirements
  • Proven experience with various payroll and HRIS systems, with a preference for ADP
  • Strong Excel proficiency and exceptional data reconciliation skills
  • A high attention to detail, coupled with the ability to recognize, investigate, and effectively resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills with a logical and solution-oriented approach

Additional information

The role is based in our Corporate Office in Yorkville, Toronto (ON) and is mainly onsite.

The appointed candidate will be offered an annual salary within the range of $110,000-$140,000CAD, plus the opportunity to participate in our Corporate Bonus program, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D, retirement plans, various paid time off programs, and employee discount/perks.
