Make your mark while you grow your career! Reporting to the Corporate Development Manager, the Corporate Development Analyst is the heart of our insurance and risk management operations. From evaluating newly acquired assets for seamless integration into our coverage programs, to advising on contract provisions and emerging risks like ESG and geopolitical shifts, your insights will drive smarter decisions across the business. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners, building relationships that strengthen our resilience and reputation.

- Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts (Monday – Friday)

Key Accountabilities
- Drive Strategic Risk Coverage - Drive the management and optimization of corporate insurance programs across diverse coverage lines—from property and liability to construction and decommissioning—ensuring our assets and operations are protected in line with the company’s risk appetite
- Turn Data into Decisions - Gather and analyze operational and financial insights to support insurance renewals, budget planning, and cost-effective coverage strategies that align with evolving business needs
- Elevate and Integrate Assets - Lead engineering surveys and valuation exercises to maintain accurate risk profiles, and assessing newly acquired or built assets for seamless integration into existing insurance frameworks
- Be a Bridge to the Industry - Cultivate strong relationships with insurers and industry professionals, representing the company through compelling presentations and collaborative engagements
- Advise with Authority - Provide expert guidance on insurance provisions in contracts, claims recovery coordination, and emerging risks—including ESG and geopolitical shifts—ensuring the business stays resilient and informed
- Lead and Inspire - Mentor junior staff and students, sharing your expertise while fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence in risk management
What You Bring To The Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline; professional certifications considered an asset
- Minimum of five years in the energy, insurance, or legal sectors, with a strong understanding of risk dynamics in oil and gas
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Proven success in managing complex projects and interpreting multifaceted data to support strategic decision-making
- High level of accuracy and diligence in reviewing contracts, assessing risks, and preparing financial documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all organizational levels and mentor junior staff
