ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Vice President – Infrastructure & Planning, the Manager – Materials Distribution is responsible for is responsible for the effective management, coordination, and oversight of all materials handling, inventory control, and distribution activities within St. Joseph’s Care Group. The Manager leads the Materials Management team to support clinical and non-clinical operations through timely and accurate supply delivery, cost-effective inventory practices, and continuous process improvement.

WHAT YOU BRING
Education/Experience:
-
Post-secondary education in Business or Materials Management is preferred; education in a related field will also be considered.
-
Experience working and leading teams in a unionized environment is preferred.
-
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in either support services in a healthcare setting, materials management or logistics.
Skills/Abilities:
-
Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing.
-
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with direct reports, coworkers, colleagues and external contacts.
-
Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills, with experience working in a unionized setting
-
Excellent interpersonal communication, team building and coaching skills.
-
Ability to function and contribute as an effective team member and to work independently.
-
Ability to identify, understand, and meet/exceed the requirements of internal and external customers.
-
Ability to effectively prioritize workload to meet various deadlines.
-
Must be at an advanced skill level in word processing, spreadsheet and data entry.

Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

Must be competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Demonstrated regular attendance at work.
Assets:

Certification in Supply Chain Management or equivalent is considered an asset.
Conditions of Employment:

This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
