Overview

Reporting to the Community Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for all housekeeping operations within the Westview Campus communities. This role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and service excellence consistent with Silvera’s values and Supportive Living Accommodation Standards. The Supervisor supports, trains, and mentors the housekeeping and Community Night Attendant teams; oversees quality assurance, inventory control, and annual cleaning schedules; and promotes fee-for-service housekeeping to support resident satisfaction and community revenue goals.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily housekeeping operations and daily custodial operations in co-located independent living communities; conducts internal audits, suite inspections, and quality checks to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.

Oversee preventative maintenance program for housekeeping equipment.

Supervises and supports Housekeepers and Community Night Attendants through scheduling, task assignment, coaching, monthly connects, and performance management.

Actively promotes and advocates fee-for-service housekeeping services; works toward measurable increases in fee-for-service use. Ensures that services are being provided at a high standard.

Coordinates annual cleaning schedules for suites and common areas.

Monitors and provides oversight for Silvera’s resident laundry program.

Monitors, orders and maintains product and supply levels within approved budget.

Assists in daily cleaning when short-staffed or during peak operational periods.

Responds to emergencies, outbreaks, or resident incidents, following established cleaning and safety protocols.

Leads recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and on-the-job training for new hires; provides ongoing mentoring and cross-training for existing staff.

Participates actively on various Silvera Committees as requested.

Provides support, perform audits

Assists with special events and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous housekeeping experience is essential.

Minimum three (3) years’ leadership or team coordination experience. Work experience equivalent can be considered

Demonstrated ability to deliver elevated guest service and resident experiences.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint); knowledge of Yardi is an asset.

Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills with attention to detail and professionalism.

Able to act with discretion, initiative, and diplomacy in managing time-sensitive and confidential matters.

Willingness to travel to support other Silvera communities as required.

Must be able to lift objects up to 25 lbs.

Will be exposed to:

Corrosive and non-corrosive chemicals

Frequent bending and stretching

Pulling and pushing, lifting furniture

Required to operate heavy cleaning equipment

Required to do repetitive housekeeping tasks

Hours of Work

Rotational shift work required, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
