Position Summary:

The main object and purpose of this position is to support Sales and Customer Service teams by making it possible to provide credit services to customers, maintain good relationships with them and contribute to the financial health of Air Liquide Canada’s organization, while promoting ALC’s safety and quality objectives.

As an Agent Accounts Receivable, you will be a key member of our finance team, responsible for the timely and accurate collection of outstanding payments, reconciliation of accounts, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsabilities

  • Proactively contact customers via phone, email, and other communication channels to collect outstanding invoices.
  • Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing discrepancies in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Monitor customer account balances to ensure timely payments and identify overdue accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries and disputes related to invoices and payments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other internal departments to resolve customer issues.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding credit and collections.

___________________Are you a MATCH?

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in an accounts receivable or collections role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly as they relate to accounts receivable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Docs, and Oracle

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when dealing with customers.
