Your Team:
Join Flair’s In-Flight team, where safety, compliance, and service excellence guide the development of our Flight Attendants. Reporting to the Manager, In-Flight Training, the In-Flight Training Delivery Specialist is responsible for the consistent and compliant implementation of all aspects of in-flight training delivery. This role supports the facilitation of regulatory and service training programs, ensuring alignment with Transport Canada requirements and Flair’s internal standards. The position contributes to maintaining a high level of instructional quality and operational readiness across the In-Flight department.
This position is based on-site at our offices in Edmonton (YEG), Calgary (YYC), Toronto (YYZ) or Vancouver (YVR).
A Day in the Life:
The duties of the In-Flight Training Delivery Specialist include:
- Assisting with the delegated CASS 725.07 (S) (d) (ii) responsibilities:
- (I) the maintenance of Flight Attendant training records (i.e., overseeing In-Flight Instructor completion and submission of accurate training records)
- Supporting the Manager, In-Flight Training and the Crew Planning department with the implementation of the training calendar to ensure that training delivery logistics and In-Flight Instructor requirements are met
- Assisting the Manager, In-Flight Training, with return-to-work training plans for expired Flight Attendants.
- Assisting with training delivery, vendor relationship maintenance.
- Assisting with overseeing the in-house First Aid training program, including In-Flight Instructor qualifications and equipment life cycle.
- Overseeing the Training Management and Deployment System for cabin crew enrollments and non-compliance follow-up with In-Flight Operations Managers as needed.
- Assisting Manager, In-Flight Training as focal and witness for training participant releases.
- Administering the Instructor Evaluation Program and making recommendations to the Manager, In-Flight Training.
- Assisting Manager, In-Flight Training, in the development of the Instructor Reference Manual. Make recommendations for policy/procedure updates.
- Maintaining processes owned by In-Flight Training Delivery in the In-Flight Operations Process and Procedures Manual.
- Assisting with the deployment of new/revised training programs.
- Planning and execution of Train-the-Trainer sessions for In-Flight Instructors.
- Planning and co-facilitating In-Flight Instructor meetings.
- Overseeing the training delivery equipment lifecycle (e.g., procurement, inventory, care and custody, repair, replacement) with the assistance of the Manager, In-Flight Training.
- Actively contributing to cabin safety’s continual improvement philosophy.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring to the Role:
The preferred candidate should exemplify Flair's core values: honesty, efficiency, accountability, and respect, while demonstrating success in previous roles. Additionally, we are seeking individuals who possess:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Current and qualified Flight Attendant on the Boeing 737 aircraft.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant experience applying the TP12296 Flight Attendant Training Standard and associated Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Commercial Air Service Standards (CASS) as they relate to Flight Attendant training is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an In-Flight Instructor with a 705 multi-crew operator is considered an asset.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of the TP12296 Flight Attendant Training Standard and associated Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Commercial Air Service Standards (CASS) as they pertain to Flight Attendant training.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate competing priorities and maintain accuracy in a dynamic operational setting.
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration and engagement across teams.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related digital applications.
- Requirements:
- Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction
