What you’ll do

As we continue to evolve our People & Culture programs and our team member experience, we are looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to help nurture our culture and ensure our people feel supported at every stage of their journey. Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, you will be a hands-on partner in creating smooth processes, meaningful touchpoints, and memorable experiences across the employee lifecycle.

You’ll play a vital role in making sure the details are taken care of, from the way we welcome new team members, celebrate milestones, and support wellness and safety. In doing so, you’ll help turn everyday processes into moments that inspire connection and pride.

In this role, you will:

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition : Support the hiring process by posting and managing job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer letters and documentation to ensure a seamless candidate experience.
  • Onboarding & Orientation : Collaborate with managers to design personalized orientation schedules, deliver onboarding sessions, and track progress so that every new hire feels welcomed, informed, and set up for success. Continually review and enhance aspects of the onboarding and orientation program to ensure the program continues to be aligned with our evolving needs.
  • Employee Engagement, Recognition & Culture : Drive culture initiatives by coordinating recognition programs, wellness activities, and social events. Curate engaging P&C content on internal platforms and analyze participation and feedback to continuously enhance initiatives.
  • Performance & Talent Management : Provide administrative support for performance and career development programs, ensuring systems run smoothly and deadlines are met.
  • Health, Safety & Wellbeing : Participate in the Health & Safety Committee and contribute to wellness initiatives that promote a healthy, safe, and supportive workplace.
  • Volunteer Program Support : Provide logistical and administrative support to our volunteer programs, from role postings and onboarding to recognition and tracking hours in Better Impact.
  • General Team Support : Organize logistics for training and development programs, draft communications and toolkits, contribute to P&C team projects, and act as a friendly first point of contact for team member inquiries.

What you bring

In addition, you bring:

  • A diploma or degree in Human Resources, business, or a related area (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Three years of experience in a human resources role, with exposure to multiple areas of the employee lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting recruitment processes, such as posting jobs, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer documentation.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • A solution-oriented mindset, demonstrating curiosity and creativity in your approach to work.
  • A self-starter with a positive outlook who thrives in a team environment and is motivated to make an impact.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

The hiring range for this position is between $59,670 and $66,000. At BCCHF, we are committed to ensuring that compensation is fair and equitable. Your placement in the salary range will be determined by your experience, relevant skills, and qualifications as they relate to this role.

Please note that all team members of BCCHF are required to complete vulnerable sector criminal record check as a condition of employment.
