This Position reports to: Production Supervisor Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory) In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Emergency Lighting in Dorval. You will be mainly accountable for: Operates and monitors an automated machine for the installation of surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole (TH) electronic components. Adjusts and sets up printing equipment for the application of solder paste for surface mount technology. Loads, identifies and positions feeders to supply the machine according to the selected program. Performs basic maintenance of the automated machine for surface mount technology (SMT) electronic component installation. Performs various tests on printed circuit boards (PCBs). Detects all non-conformities in welding, component positioning and orientation, as well as in component orientation and polarity, and in production equipment. Applies quality, health, safety and environmental procedures and policies and participates in related activities. Performs other related tasks. Qualifications for the role (Mandatory) High school diploma. Experience as a solderer or machine operator, an asset. Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standard, an asset. Basic knowledge of electronic components, including orientation, polarity, component values and electrostatic discharge (ESD). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Ability to read silkscreen on a printed circuit board, an asset. Autonomy and flexibility. Proficiency in French and/or English, spoken and written. Why ABB?
