Position Summary
The Health Sciences Division – Paramedic Academy at the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Regional Training Coordinator (RTC) to coordinate the delivery of the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) program at our Chilliwack campus.
This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the future of paramedic education in British Columbia. As the Regional Training Coordinator, you will play a central role in shaping the student learning experience, ensuring program excellence, and supporting the development of curriculum and learning resources. You will coordinate the delivery, evaluation, and administration of the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) program, including student tracking, examinations, and program resources. Working closely with the Program Manager, you will also coordinate and support instructional faculty through recruitment, orientation, scheduling, development, and performance evaluation. In addition, you will foster strong connections with clinical partners and community stakeholders, promote JIBC programs in the region, and help expand placement opportunities to support student success.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience.
- Professional qualifications in Paramedicine at the Primary Care Paramedic level or above.
- Certificate in training, facilitation, or adult education (asset).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an administrative capacity, preferably in an education setting.
- Experience as an instructor or evaluator delivering PCP, EMR, First Responder, and/or First Aid courses.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills with strong formatting and data management expertise.
- Basic to intermediate experience using Blackboard or similar Learning Management Systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Sound judgment and sensitivity in managing complex issues.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned training region and other areas of the province as needed.

$89,241.00 to $99,135.40 annually – Fair Comparison Faculty Equivalent Compensation Salary Grid P3
