Hourly Pay Range: $22.00-25.00/per hour.
About the role
Reporting to the IT Support Lead, the IT Support Technician (Tier 1) is responsible for providing first-level technical support to employees across the Westbow Group of Companies. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, maintaining IT documentation, and assisting with system optimizations.

What you’ll be doing

Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, and in-person.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.

Prioritize and manage tickets through the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.

Assist with user account administration, password resets, and access management.
-
Perform inventory tracking, license management, and system audits to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Support IT projects and ongoing system improvements as assigned.

Document issues, resolutions, and procedures to ensure consistent knowledge sharing.

Escalate complex technical issues to higher-tier support when necessary.
What we’re looking for
-
1–2 years of experience in an IT Technician, Help Desk, or related role.

Basic understanding of hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.

Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles (e.g., phishing awareness, password hygiene, and safe handling of sensitive data).

Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.

Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is an asset.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
