Job Title: Medical Secretary
Location : Fully Remote following 3 months probation (Based in Oxford Circus)
Hours : Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm)
Shift times: Monday – Friday, 0900-1700 Salary : Competitive (dependent on skills and experience) + Pension and benefits
Role : 12 months Fixed Term Contract
As a Medical Secretary you’ll be responsible for ensuring the continued provision of the highest quality of secretarial and administrative support. Duties will include providing full secretarial support to our consultants, being responsible for the appropriate management of patient appointments, liaising with patients and hospital staff as required in order to facilitate this. You will also undertake any other duties as called upon to carry out by the Practice Manager.

- Provide full secretarial support to the practice (including audio-typing of clinical/non-clinical material, reports etc) including those of a sensitive nature, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
- Accurately register new patients.
- Maintain and file accurate patient records, including appropriate patient case note filing, and preparation of relevant clinic notes prior to Outpatient Clinics which take place on a daily basis.
- Co-ordinate patient appointments, communicating with patients, Consultants and the London Bridge team to facilitate them.
- Receive new patient referrals and arrange relevant appointments across various hospital departments
- Arrange investigations and consultations using hospital data systems.
- Manage other correspondence and telephone contacts appropriately.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous Medical Secretarial experience is essential.
- Significant understanding of Medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate typing and letter proof reading skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Meditex would be an advantage.

About Lister Fertility Clinic
The Lister Fertility Clinic is one of the largest fertility centres in the UK. The clinic was established in 1988 and since that time has maintained its reputation as being one of the most successful IVF clinics in the country with nearly 20,000 'Lister' babies born.
The clinic prides itself on being able to assist couples whose treatment has been unsuccessful elsewhere and we operate a more flexible referral criteria in order to help couples with the more difficult fertility problems.
We offer a comprehensive range of fertility treatments. The Clinical Director is Mr James Nicopoullos, who leads an experienced team of doctors, nurses, embryologists and counsellors.
