Description:
As an Intermediate Accountant, you will ensure the financial health and accuracy of the organization. You will have the opportunity to expand your career by supporting various accounting functions, including the preparation and maintenance of financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Managing full-cycle AP and AR processes, including invoicing, payment processing, collections, and AP/AR statement reconciliation.
- Process and track open invoices and open tickets, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support project cost tracking and reporting in 4castplus.
- Tracking and reporting on revenue and costs by project.
- Demonstrate ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems.
- Assist with tracking revenue/costing by project and starting a purchase order process in QuickBooks.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key financial partners and industry players.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in operational accounting.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Detail-driven with an eye for consistency and good with numbers.
- Proven track record of sourcing, structuring, and closing complex financing transactions.
- A strong understanding of financial modelling, valuation, and risk management.
- High level of analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in consulting or professional services would be considered an asset.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with essential Excel functions such as data entry, basic formulas, and formatting to assist with AP/AR tracking and reporting.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a keen eye for accuracy in data entry and account reconciliations.
- Experience with 4castplus would be considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally, including project managers, other departments, suppliers, and customers.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards learning new software tools and adapting to evolving processes in a dynamic business environment.
- Strong initiative, with the ability to work independently and anticipate needs.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
