As a Security System Installer, you will be responsible for installing and servicing a variety of security systems. Your strong customer service and communication skills, combined with a natural ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers, will be key to your success. A strong background in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and knowledge of the security industry will further support your success in this role.
The Role:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair various security systems, including interactive security for both residential and commercial clients
- Install and service various systems, such as fire and life safety, intrusion, access control, intercoms, CCTV, and other video management solutions.
- Visit client sites for a variety of service calls, including scheduled maintenance and support, ensuring timely and effective solutions
- Provide thorough training to customers on the features and proper usage of their security systems and related devices
- Complete necessary paperwork during installations and service calls
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including conducting inventory counts and generating detailed reports
- Ensure all installations and service calls are executed safely, professionally, and in adherence to company standards.
The Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with security systems and running/fishing wire
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and service orders
- Demonstrated technical knowledge with solid trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication skills, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Organized and detail-oriented multitasker who can work independently
- Valid class-5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Criminal Record Check
- Must be flexible and willing to travel to customer locations
- Experience with Alarm.com an asset
