Quality Technician - Amico Patient Care

Quality Technician - Job Description
- Perform inbound and outbound inspection, generate reports
- Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
- Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings
- Use calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices to determine quality of parts
- Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
- Reporting quality anomalies to the supervisor.
- Able to perform functionality tests and understand/interpret results
- Ensuring production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.
- Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
- Assist in trouble shoot returned complaint samples and update complaint documentation when necessary and assigned by the supervisor
- Assist in performing customer complaint investigations to determine root cause and appropriate CAPA when assigned by the supervisor
- Escalate any new, unknown risk on defects/discrepancies further evaluation and decisions
- Work with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams to ensure the timely completion and closure of deviations, discrepancies
- Issue the corresponding NCR when deviations are reported
- Issue the corresponding SCAR when applicable to Purchasing
- Uphold Quality standards as set by the company and ISO 13485:2016/MDSAP
- Maintain a Quality Assurance log of testing results
Educational Background/Experience
- Technical certificate in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, Biomechanical, etc.) or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Minimum 1 year experience in quality assurance role
- Experience as an QA Inspector or Quality Technician (Experience in inspection techniques)
- Educational background in Quality Assurance desirable
- Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts.
- High-level of visual awareness.
- Advanced organizational skills.
- Experience drafting reports and collating data.
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Must have communication and time management skills
- Must be able to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficient in computer and ability to learn new software
- Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a cross-functional team with and communicate clearly with peers
- Customer focused
- Strong communication in English is essential
