Purpose
The Brand & Content Marketing Coordinator plays a vital role in bringing Armstrong Collective and its portfolio of brands, including Rocky Mountaineer and Canyon Spirit, to life across all channels. This role supports global marketing initiatives aligned with strategic vision and business objectives while demonstrating ownership, proactive collaboration, and a commitment to creating meaningful experiences for guests, partners, and stakeholders. Acting as a connector within the Global Marketing team, the Coordinator takes accountability for delivering high-quality work, seeks opportunities to improve processes, and contributes ideas that enhance the guest journey and brand experience.
Key Areas Of Accountability
Marketing project coordination:
Support the brand & content and broader marketing team in developing and delivering marketing projects and deliverables, taking ownership of assigned activities from project initiation through final sign-off (i.e. annual sales brochure, campaigns, guest collateral, etc.). Support the brand marketing team in the implementation of new brand identities and products into the overall Armstrong Collective ecosystem. Develop briefs and workback schedules ensuring all projects are completed efficiently and on time. Collaborate with the procurement team to align on suppliers and support project budget tracking, ensuring work is completed within scope. Develop strong working relationships with relevant third-party vendors and partners such as creative and design agencies, printers, translators, writers and other creative freelancers. Apply critical thinking and strong attention to detail when proofreading and reviewing marketing materials across all channels. Review all deliverables to ensure consistency with our brand, graphics, and tone of voice guidelines. Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and deliver effective solutions. Support the management of photo shoot and video shoot logistics. Support Armstrong Collective projects and initiatives that span multiple brands, as required.
Guest Collateral Creative And Execution
Lead or support the development and coordination of all guest collateral, from pre-travel to onboard the train to our destinations, including creative briefs, creative design, printing specs, paper stock, workback schedules, approval processes, translations (as needed) and final sign-off. Conduct research, fact-check articles, update mile markers and the routes map in the Mile Post onboard newspaper. Work with the procurement department on the printing of all creative materials by exploring options for paper stock, binding process for booklets, etc. Review printer press proofs on key collateral pieces for correct colour and type.
Content And Creative Support
Contribute to content storytelling initiatives by sharing ideas and supporting meaningful brand experiences. Surface testimonials for the team to use in brand and content marketing deliverables. Support in the creation and review of product and third-party partner content. Support website audits and updating website content as required. Design simple/basic assets/deliverables (i.e. internal posters, flyers, banner ads, templates, etc.). Manage, update and distribute the brand guidelines as required. Review internal and external deliverables from the wider marketing team and organization from a brand perspective, ensuring consistency across all deliverables, channels and audiences. Update design files in InDesign or Photoshop, that require minor updates. Write copy for owned channels and deliverables on an ad hoc basis, including emails and other guest-facing communications.
Marketing Operations
Manage and traffic the Global Marketing inbox requests and workstreams. Process documents, reports, correspondence and data entry requirements to support the Global Marketing team. Manage the digital asset library including coordinating the uploading, tagging and ongoing management of video and photography assets. Support the review and documentation of processes for key cross-functional marketing initiatives to identify opportunities to improve workflows and business outcomes. Create POs in financial system and manage invoices with our suppliers, and working with finance on invoice payments
Qualifications
Education / Certifications / Licenses:
Post-secondary degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications, or Business required
Experience
1-2 years’ experience in marketing roles (agency or client) Experience with brand and content marketing Experience in travel/tourism is considered an asset
Skills
Ability to make informed decisions, take ownership of actions, and effectively communicate information Service-oriented with a strong customer focus Experienced in evaluating creative and recommending improvements to improve results Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong editing and copywriting skills Strong attention to detail including proofing and auditing Advanced MS Office skills; basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Basic budget management skills (within Excel) Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills Confidence in leading multi-faceted projects
Compensation
The base salary offered for this role is $55,000 to $65,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity. Eligible for Rocky Mountaineer’s discretionary bonus program.
